UNFAMILIAR

A relaxing fantasy adventure game where you take the form of a cat-witch who sets out to acquire magic ingredients from storybook worlds to craft items and create enchanting costumes.

My role was to create sections within the levels, these would then be procedurally pieced together to create different sized levels. Unfamiliar was created in 10 months and I had worked on the game for 6 weeks in the later stages of development.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED:

  • Creating node based character pathways on sections for procedurally generated levels with inhouse editor tools.

  • Modifying camera look-at and pathways which track along the character pathways.

  • Import and position art assets for level decoration. 

  • Import and position collectable items. 

Being able to work on a project with specific editor tools was fantastic. Having systems created specifically for level design made creating them focused and direct.
